Is economy parking open again? That has been a big factor in why I haven't used Logan lately - airport parking in the regular garage ends up costing me far more than the extra fare I have to fly from some other airport, and using Logan Express adds too much time to the journey. Now, to see what PVD has to offer, since we've already discussed BOS's SWA woes! Also got me to experience the 737-MAX8 for the first time. I accepted, given it was only a four hour wait. They were desperate to get weight off the 737-700 from MDW to SLC due to weather and offered volunteers a $1,500 voucher for future travel, and a connecting flight to SLC via DEN later in the day. I have to say, I was impressed with Southwest's compensation to me on a flight from BOS to SLC via MDW last Saturday. That's an impressive compensation, but a long wait for sure. There's really no gate that has a long walk too, which is a gripe of mine with Delta's remote gates in Terminal A. I really do love everything about Terminal B right now. Sadly their next available flight was only 2 days later and neither myself nor my wife could jump on it but they had no problem finding takers for that offer. On my last trip from DEN they asked for 3 people to give up their seats and offered a $2000 voucher each for a future trip, a first class seat on the next available flight, and hotel stay and transportation in Denver. Their "bumping" compensation is ridiculously good too, most likely the result of that debacle a few years ago.

Their MAX's tho, I hate that they don't have seat back screens and their movie library is so bad they may as well not have it. The new terminal only made it even better, and I really hope the LHR flight is here to stay. UA has been this good in Boston for a very long time, hence why I've never made the switch to one of the home based airlines. I welcome the return of IFE TVs to all of its mainline planes like Delta has. United is really on the right path to future success IMHO. I really like the modernized B terminal - actually better than C at this point. Flew united a few times this winter, since B6's schedule between BOS-DEN became so spotty and unreliable, and SWA just doesn't seem to care about BOS. I'm not close enough to things to really know this for a fact, but it seems that the turn around really took off when Kirby joined. I have always found the ground and flight crew to be great. United has a very nice operation in Boston the terminal, gates, food/drink and restroom options are plentiful the aesthetic is modern and clean. I am rarely in Terminal B because the vast majority of my flying is Delta or foreign carriers and occasionally B6. On a different note, I flew UA 737-9 Max (I still can't remember the proper nomenclature) last week. I don't even really know why, although it is definitely a more enjoyable way to fly for me. EV parking spaces can be used for as long as you are parking at BOS, you will be charged the standard BOS parking rates.I always love when I can catch a wide body on a domestic route.
